Around 10 in the whole uni I think. In my previous workplace, in a department of around 20, there were 4 of us named Ann/e at one stage. All of a certain age 😄

Walk up Wright's Hill today for a change. First time in a couple of years, I reckon, and harder than I remember but I guess I'm older, fatter, and less fit now. Something (blackbird?) met an untimely end on the track.

I think it's a solitary bee, such as a mason bee or similar. It kept buzzing around me while I was sitting there and then I saw it fly into the hole.

At the vet with Remy. He had a massive fight with another cat yesterday and could hardly put down his left paw so I made an appointment with the vet for today. Embarrassingly, he seems perfectly fine this morning 🙄

Our cat also has a water bowl next to his food but he doesn't drink from that, because that would be too easy. And also cats generally don't like drinking from water near their food - something to do with prey contaminating their food apparently.

I have to confess we do keep a glass filled with water in the living room for our cat because otherwise he drinks from ours. But it is water, not gin and tonic or something.
