That happened to me too. If I hadn't arranged to meet someone there I'd have gone home. Never been back. It was a new place too. You'd have thought they'd be keener.

It's the system you're fighting that's the problem. It was bad enough 10 years ago but now it's completely broken. Channel that rage to advocate for your child. Unfortunately, pushy parents are the only ones who get heard. It goes against the grain for most of us but we are where we are.

I will call out anyone who makes generalisations about ‘boomers’ and their affiliation to the Right. We were the generation at the vanguard of the fight against racism, sexism, protested against Vietnam. There are multitudes of us who still hold those views and are horrified by what is happening
