It's a Cool Angel's Thesis.

#Evangelion
The mask of Lilith from Neon Genesis Evangelion, wearing thick-rimmed sunglasses.
The Witch thinks he's Sarah's long-missing (presumed deadbeat) father, who turned out to be living in the same town as her on an island raising Steven's brothers and sisters. He worked for the government training Elder Corgis, and tried to kill the Witch when she was little.

Still a lot of people that seemingly don’t know we’re all @secondwindgroup.com now making the best stuff we’ve ever made.

There’s literally nobody left working on video at the old site.

Just a dead brand being used for name recognition for gambling shit.
Wow The Escapist sure is doing content these days, huh

The “Oops, protein powder is full of lead” thing would explain so much.
The point of Digimon is traditional japanese horror/urban fantasy tropes through the lens of computers and shinto hopepunk, written by occidentalist westaboos that were the type of person to have been interested in Aum Shinrikyo's aesthetics and spent 10 years feeling guilty about that.

"I wrote because I believed in an idea that feels almost silly now: that visibility would lead to acceptance.

That if people just knew the stories of trans people, understood our humanity, they’d stop seeing us as threats or curiosities or political pawns."

How trans visibility became a trap

QUEER LADY WITH BODY IMAGES ISSUES, YOU HAVE TO FORGIVE YOUR SHIT PARENTS NOW
NO THEY WILL NOT STOP DISPASSIONATELY TALKING SHIT ABOUT YOU
NO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO LEARN A LESSON
FORGIVE YOUR PARENTS FOR DOING NOTHING WRONG NOW

It really does.
How do I change his avatar on discord? I wanna make it Paul from Spider-Man.
I mostly chat with him on Discord, and I still call him Ettin.

In fact, brb I'm changing his name on my server to further make the point.
You should see his WoW character.
Med'an, the protagonist of the World of Warcraft comic book. He is half-half-orc and half draenei and has Mage, Priest, and Shaman magic, and also basically looks like a hot green guy with a weird head.
This graphic is embarrassing.

my father-in-law is a “I know a guy” Guy. sadly all the old Guys are aging out of the Guy Economy. Guys are fundamentally incompatible with Hustle Culture because it’s not about “winning” a deal, it’s about collecting favors and goodwill in a mutually-beneficial cycle. protect your local Guy Economy
I meant it about the reboot. :<

The worst thing about AI (aside from the job losses, resource depletion and power grid havoc) is the cloying "That's a great idea - nice suggestion!" replies. My ideas are bad and I know they're bad! Don't gaslight me.

Christine used to be a columnist with the Inquirer. She was fired for accusing me of sending Antifa squads to chase her around the suburbs, then threatening to use her column space to write about me as revenge.

She also for some reason got drunk, found a beret, and took selfies dressed as my pfp

"Your suffering shapes your obedience" is, like, something Darkseid would say
Most of why it hit so hard is that it felt like a lot of the thoughts I had reading certain fics online as a weird teen girl. I would see it from the fetishized girl protagonist's perspective, and had a lot of the same thoughts you gave her.
They should have put Connor Kent on Gen13.

I also fucking loved the Wild Storm, and I'm disgusted at Warren Ellis for making the universe's remaining good ideas feel toxic.
I meant Zack, actually.

My opinion on Scott Snyder's Justice League is that Jonathan Hickman did it better a few years prior at Marvel.
So yeah, it felt like the Big Two strip-mined Wildstorm. Marvel got Bryan Hitch and the visual language, and DC got the husk of a universe that was left over once they gobbled up the sauce.

With this universe's visual and story language being the new status quo, there was nothing left for it to do.
6) "Well, of course we still put out the Authority and Gen13. We even do licensed stuff like the WoW comic book!" and "Well, Superman's our biggest character, so of course we have a bunch of books starring him."

These are the same editorial impulses and they felt the same as a reader.
5) Wildstorm became set in the 90s/2000s DC Universe. I don't mean Grant Morrison JLA or Greg Rucka Batman, I mean "the third monthly Superman books without an ongoing plot." Despite a lot of people trying their best, I feel like it had no way into the cultural consciousness. A tumor in the fandom.
Special shout-out to @gailsimone.bsky.social for giving Caitlin interiority as her Gen-Active body's fetishized and like, even denying her the chance to think about it on her own terms. That was the last good idea Wildstorm ever had.
4) 2000s Wildstorm didn't know what to be. You can see it in Benjamin Nushmutt's run on the Authority, where they went from anarchist progressives to like, celebrities that politicians hate for being too based. Gail Simone did her best on Gen13, bless her, but, WS just didn't have the sauce anymore.
3) The New 52 and Snyder Justice Leagues were explicitly The Authority But Marketable To Families. It went from "We can do so much good together" to "If we worked together we could do whatever we want."
