If I didn’t need to work for a living, I think going through my vintage recipe book collection and just making things for experimental food archeology would be pretty fun.
Luckily there are plenty of ppl on YouTube who are very good at it haha.

The food photography of the time is 90% of the comedy aspect. If this same dish was plated and photographed to today’s food styling aesthetics, ppl would probably love it 😝

I actually am not that repulsed by this. It’s basically deviled ham just with aspic added. Treat it like pate and it’s probably perfectly edible.

I want to give a special NYCC shoutout to Joe Hennes @toughpigs.com for having me at the super fun Muppet Sketch Jam panel. It was a bit nerve-wracking but the crowd were amazing and all the artists brought the hilarity in only a minute.

I’d also add, even if you’re living cheaply/with family, focus on making your own comics rather than trying to get publishers to hire you on spec and hope.
I made 2 webcomics and that got me an invitation to co-create Divalicious for a Tokyopop competition. Rest is history.

And this is why I make my own clothes, unless it’s jeans or anything in a knit fabric (leggings/tshirts/tank tops etc,) then it’s Costco or old navy.

Two hours later, in a separate thread, the write: "$30 for a single button-up is ridiculous unless it is decent quality silk."
