Never in a million years I would have thought that I would need to take into consideration what state a MSW program is based in and if it’s from a religious university. Now that is one of the first things I am looking at. How can they teach social work while supporting this chaos

I have an 8am doctors appointment. I get here at 7:55 and not a single person was here yet. 8:02 someone shows up and lets me in. They say as soon as people show up they will check me in. Yet if I’m late they charge me and cancel my appointment.

First step is to see an ophthalmologist to rule out and structural issues with the eyes. Perkins school for the blind also has tons of great info about CVI.

CVI can be a common secondary diagnosis of hie. The structure of the eyes are five but the part of the brain the interprets what you see doesn’t work correctly. Good news is children’s vision can improve over time with therapy. Check out the website little bear sees. It has a lot of great info.

Those appointments are so hard and such a gut punch! You are definitely not alone. Almost 8 years later sometimes those appointments still hit me too. The sting just doesn’t last as long as it used to.

Nothing like your kid having a tough time at home when you’re on the last day of vacation. And there is a strong chance your flight will get canceled because of a storm 🤦🏼‍♀️
