The realisation that I became a slower reader in part because reading from a screen is more straining on both my eyes and my focus has had major repercussions on my ability to actually get reading done in both digital and paper forms

I'm immediately struck with how sensibly *ordinary* these characters are. I'm so used to the gods and their closest pals that it's easy to forget that yeah just having Hades LOOK at you is a life changing experience for most people

I mean to be fair. Hades would reduce me to tears at a glance too

The cool thing about my father telling me things is that you can easily fact check it and if you tell him he'll insist that everyone else is wrong because he thinks chicken is slimy and you MUST wash it in the sink before cooking it because it's icky and gross
