HHS has eliminated EVERY SINGLE SAFEGUARD FOR DATA PROTECTION AT CDC. Giving data to CDC is no longer safe and puts your residents at risk.

Unless and until all CDC’s data protections are restored you should consider CDC a bad actor.

Again, many states are very responsible around health data. At the state level vaccination records are essential to protecting the public. Our message is to our partners to not share PHI with CDC.

On the individual level, we encourage you to call your governor and raise concerns about CDC data.

We recommend raising this concern with APHL. The biggest concern is PHI which Form 4 is not focused on. Just assess the risk of the data is leaked/mishandled and assume the worst.

If CDC pushes back, ask to speak with the Privacy Officer (fired). The contract between CDC and jurisdictions is premised on data protection. CDC has broken that contract with these firings and the reckless disregard for data privacy shown by HHS.

Gone is the Employee Assistance Program. They help staff deal with many things, among them coping with the trauma of being the victim of a terrorist attack 2 months ago.

Also gone, every policy and communications role left, eliminating any communication function at CDC.

The Prion and Public Health Office is gone. They monitor and investigate CJD (“mad cow” disease). Prion diseases are rare and fatal and critical to investigate before they infect our food supply.

We knew Bobby had sold out to Big Ag but we think his puppet masters should rethink this one.

The entire HR office is gone. The Office of Human Resources reviews conflicts of interest. They would raise concerns as Bobby continues to put anti-vaccine nutjobs in CDC roles they are utterly unqualified for.
