Prisoners’ Media Office: Buses carrying Palestinian captives have begun moving from Israeli occupation prisons.

🎥 Video: Mothers of Gaza hostages wait in anticipation for the moment their sons are freed as part of the exchange deal between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation.

Here is a video of Trump's "give him a pardon" moment

Now Trump turns to Israel's president and asks him to pardon Netanyahu. Major standing ovation. Netanyahu is still on criminal trial for bribery, breach of trust and fraud. Trump says "champagne, cigars... who cares?" Says this wasn't a planned part of his speech but he likes Bibi and it makes sense

Oh no! I’ll pass that message on to my colleagues

Hard not to see Trump’s continued embrace of Netanyahu as a political boost that likely outweighed his reservations about the deal, especially if he doesn’t think a serious peace process with the Palestinians will go anywhere.

US President Donald Trump, during his Monday address to the Knesset in Jerusalem, called on President Isaac Herzog to issue Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a pardon, resulting in widespread applause and chants of "Bibi" throughout the Knesset plenum.

Trump calls on Herzog to pardon PM Netanyahu during Knesset speech
"Cigars and champagne, who the hell cares about that?" the US leader added. "Alright, enough controversy for the day, I don't think it's that controversial."

Every heart should soar to see Israeli captives home w/ their families. Oct. 7, 2023 was an atrocity.

*And* we must recall that, of the ~2000 Palestinians released in exchange, many were innocent captives of Israel, which prohibits them from speaking to media once released

Now the whole world needs to sit down

And, thankfully, after nearly an hour, it's over...!

Trump nods to the antisemitic trope that Jews have
dual loyalty, by saying he asked Miriam Adelson which she loves more, Israel or the US, and that she refused to answer....

Trump gives a shout out to Miriam Adelson, widow of casino magnate Sheldon, who is in the audience. Says she has $65bn in the bank.

He has just asked her to stand up. The Adelsons were Netanyahu allies, but now Miriam Adelson apparently is no longer a great Bibi fan

I think this random, triumphalist collection is an excellent reflection of that myopia

Trump: "That's all I do in my life, I make deals. I'm good at it"

Meanwhile.... lots of very moving footage has come out of hostages being reunited with their families
aloner.bsky.social
Ha! Well, they are close

Trump actually just said, in the context of how the world sees Israel, that Bibi couldn't keep "this thing going", and he then said something like "kill kill kill". The implication being that Bibi was knowingly keeping the Gaza war going and killing many Palestinians (and hostages) in the process
aloner.bsky.social
yes he said that too!

Trump on Yair Lapid: "He is a very nice opposition leader. He is a nice man, he knows what he is doing... now you can be a bit nicer Bibi, cos your not at war, Bibi"

Trump says there should be a peace deal with Iran and asks Netanyahu if he would want that. He says that the regime just wants to survive and doesn't want to "dig" again and rebuild its nuclear programme

PS here is the video of the MKs heckling Trump in the Knesset, via @adamjschwarz.bsky.social bsky.app/profile/adam...

Trump has said quite a bit about the name change from the Department of Defense to the Department of War. He says America will no longer fight wars in a "politically correct" way, and that the US will win wars like never before ! etc etc

Trump: "The hostages are back. It feels so good to say it"

MKs Ayman Odeh and Ofer Cassif, from Hadash-Ta’al, interrupted Trump's speech and were escorted out of the Knesset chamber. They were reportedly holding up signs saying "genocide". Trump said their removal was "very efficient"

Trump on Witkoff: "He's just a great guy, everybody loves him". This he says is the secret to his negotiation skills
