According the article, the Everett Police still have not told the parents why they arrested their 13-year-old child, nor why they handed him over to ICE while his parents waited in the station to pick him up.

A 13-year-old boy was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents in Everett after an interaction with members of the Everett Police Department and sent to a juvenile detention facility in Virginia, according to his mother and immigration lawyer Andrew Lattarulo.

The boy’s mother, Josiele Berto, was called to pick her son up from the Everett Police Department on Thursday, the day he was arrested. After waiting for about an hour and a half, she was told her son was taken by ICE, Berto told the Globe in a phone interview.

“My world collapsed,” Berto said in Portuguese.

From the police department, the boy was taken to ICE’s holding facility in Burlington on Thursday evening, where he spent a night before being transferred by car to the Northwestern Regional Juvenile Detention Center in Winchester, Va., on Friday morning, his mother said. The juvenile facility is more than 500 miles away from Everett.

The boy is a 7th-grader at Albert N. Parlin School in Everett, his mother said. The teen and his family, who are Brazilian nationals, have a pending asylum case and are authorized to work legally in the United States, Lattarulo said.

Today in Portland, a fed shooting pepper balls from the roof of the ICE facility was so eager to aim for people’s heads, that after shooting one photographer in the head and another in the upper arm, they accidentally shot a DHS agent in the head. This photo shows the moment of impact;

Roof cops were intentionally aiming for heads. There was a gaggle of photographers and at least three of them got pepper balled on their heads. No one else was around them. One of the feds on the roof was also waving to naked bikers and making hand gestures with two fingers to signal “small”

More updates when I can but it got pretty brutal down at ICE. Multiple arrests and looked like maybe even some dearrests. So many pepper balls roof cops even shot other DHS agent in the head

Right as I finished filming the video from first post the word naked bike ride arrived with at least a thousand people. I watched them ride thru for 5 minutes straight and they were still coming in in the pouring rain

Each time the same thing: I go to take a vid, things seem normal.
Within a few seconds my screen would go black, video would continue to record anywhere from 3-5 seconds, then stop on its own. The video files in my gallery are always a black square that's not viewable

In 2020 the camera app that comes on the phone was blocking me from the ability to take video each time the feds were out or if 1 was near certain federal buildings.
