Tomorrow and Thursday are big days for me because @brattletheatre.bsky.social is playing 3 of my fave films by one of my all-time fave (and sorely under-appreciated!) filmmakers and I get to run a gorgeous, brand new 35mm print of my very very fave: that’s right I’m talking Hal Hartley’s TRUST 🎞️

New job idea: RMV/DMV DJ - playing music to spread good vibes to all the people waiting at and working at the RMV and also making the waitlist announcements. If you’ve been waiting over an hour you get to make a song request. Maybe they do a talk show-style interview if you’ve been waiting over 2

RIP Drew Struzan. Not just a movie poster artist but a man capable of putting lightning in a bottle, and of taking the form of cinema and encapsulating its spirit in still imagery. The best that will ever do it.

I was doing so well, got here early and didn’t have a long wait BUT the insurance people made a minor error with a date on my form and then I had to call them to fix it and now I’m back in a much longer line than before, curses!!!
