If Hollywood’s the focus, Nevada leaders have lost the plot. Nevada ranks 47th in school funding with the largest class sizes in the nation, yet our leaders want to hand $1.65 billion to Hollywood executives. Every dollar they give to Hollywood is a dollar stolen from our classrooms and educators.

Notwithstanding that there's no economic data supporting film tax credits, Nevada Democrats are helping a Republican governor win reelection with a flashy, short-term ‘jobs’ bill. In doing so, they are abandoning their base, who generally oppose corporate handouts.

Midterm Pro Tip: Don't do that.

What's interesting is how the NV Democrats have strayed so far from their own platform. This is their press release. Where in their platform is “more corporate handouts for billionaires”? NVDems say one thing. Then, Legislative Democrats work to help Lombardo and ensure Hollywood gets public money.
