Be sure to simplify/cut down as much as you possibly can & prioritize making time to /actually/ relax. Unfortunately, naps & screen time don't count as relaxing. I know it can be hard, but moving around, being social, & getting out of the house does help

I love getting to do what I do. It's something I've always wanted. I'd give anything to keep going. But I know that things are changing and there's only so much to be done.

I recently saw this and appreciated his strategy on how to how to retrain your brain from being dopamine dependent to deriving satisfaction from being challenged, which has definitely been tied to burnout in my experience.

I've been dealing with autistic+creative burnout for 5 years now. I'm still in it and honestly? Making your goals much more bite-sized/achievable and not motivating yourself with shame/comparison is the only way through. It's a skill that takes practice (boo, I know), so be patient with yourself <3

I'm debating on taking a year working part time and making a fully updated portfolio before potentially going back to school.

Part of me says don't waste the time when you should just make the money. Another part of me says this might be your last chance, at least for the foreseeable future..

Basically (without spoilers) Melinoë may seem like a flat character upon first glance, but when you pay attention, there is a quite a fair amount of nuance to her writing that is very compelling. Ultimately though, I don't like her personal politics and take issue with her perspective on things

It’s really hard to describe to people who are not artists how survival mode does *not* inspire creativity, as the myth would have us believe. It suppresses creativity as you try to limit every possible risk – and the opportunities that come with them.
