Another herring. Neither gives nor expects follows back. NFFC, pub milhist, 5-string fretless, bikes, trans rights are human rights

There's a plausible deniability thing (favourite dog whistler's trick, of course) in that non-SS Panzer crew overalls were black (to hide the oil stains). I very strongly suspect that's not what he was wearing, all the same.

In 1972, Idi Amin expelled Uganda’s Asian community in the name of culture.

In 2025, a British MP is using the same language to justify removing lawful residents.

Don’t say it can’t happen here.
"They Will Also Need to Go Home"
A sitting Conservative MP has introduced a bill that would make lawful residents deportable for earning under £38,700 - and Britain’s political class is barely blinking.

I sat in the British Library reading League of Empire Loyalists, BNP & National Front literature for my book and even they claimed to promote *voluntary* repatriation. Forcible deportation was always the ghost behind those ideas, but it’s amazing that UK politicians don’t even bother to hide it.
To be clear: deportations to increase cultural homogeneity is the text book definition of ethnic cleansing. Demands that come even close to this are so far outside any democratic norm and the rule of law. What has happened to a country when this is not condemned in the strongest possible terms?

Incredibly minor point in the grand scheme of the horror of this policy, but this would mean that many women with ILR would be unable to go on maternity leave unless they had a very high salary or an amazing employer package.
The Conservatives have drafted the legislation.

ANY one of the conditions being met leads to ILR being revoked.

If annual income falls below £38,700 for six months (for any reason at all)

The Secretary of State would also have the powers add whatever further conditions they want.
It's only a Hummel kit but it will still cost you £106, that's not cheap.

Game over for La Liga. The match will now be played where it belongs - in Villarreal. European football united once again to protect the future of our game. Congratulations to #Villarreal and #FCBarcelona supporters, @fasfeaficion.bsky.social, AFE, and everyone who stood up against this madness.
Exactly how pleased were you with that "Aurions nous rêvé?"/New Rave juxtaposition?
He's very much in the top five of "I wouldn't want to pathologise but" candidates in the English-speaking world, I'd say. Although milhist is always going to be a crowded field.

Decades after the Heysel and Hillsborough disasters, can politicians please not second-guess expert safety assessments for football stadiums.

Thank you.

An Aston Villa fan.
Well, yes - It was an attack on all English football fans. Far more than this single-team, single game ban is.
I started getting random jours-non when I developed hay fever in my early 30s (after doing a lot of particulate-heavy city centre riding as a courier for a couple of years).
I'm guessing that any hashtag mentioning "Irish" in English will promptly be overwhelmed by people from Chicago with one Irish great-great grandparent, and/or fans of the Notre Dame college football team.
Because I'm out at a gig tonight.

Some changes to immigration rules today, not just increasing English language requirements, mean migrants looking to live and work in UK will have to meet far far higher standards than British nationals, while paying vast sums to be allowed to do so. That isn't a system based on "fairness". 1/
Ah, target practice they badly needed, then.

Early enough war that they were doing the cruiser warfare thing, then? Stop, take crew off, sink.

Quite a bodying, here, for the UK, from the Commissioner for Human Rights, Council of Europe.

🏮 He points out the Supreme Court ignored human rights (which breaches its legal obligations)
🏮 He says, in effect agreeing with Lucy Powell, Parliament should be involved...

The shell splash seems quite a long way behind it, possibly firing at something else? Or just really bad shooting.
