Seeking leaders at every level who prioritize the well-being of Alaskans and respect the dignity of all. I believe in actions over words. Proud Haida, hoping to make my people proud.

These moments filled me with hope, empathy, and a renewed commitment to stand up for the change we need. Together, we can make a difference! 💪🇺🇸 #Hope #Unity #Change
We heard powerful speeches about the strength of the people and listened to a federal employee recite the oath he took when he started his service: "I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic."
🌤️ After attending the rally today, I couldn’t help but notice the expressions on my neighbors' faces concern, commitment, unity. Everyone there was driven not by hate, but by a profound love for our country and genuine worry about its direction.
This is a time for American hero’s.
Only the best attended.

We don’t know [if this affected the forecast], but it seems likely that that had some effect on the model performance."

The Trump admin cut Kipnuk resilience grants and hobble agencies like FEMA that help respond, but their cuts to the Weather Service also may have limited advanced warning #akleg

"A week earlier, [Halong] had been a powerful typhoon east of Japan. The jet stream picked it up and carried it to the northeast, which is pretty common, and weather models did a pretty good job in forecasting its track...

But as the storm approached Alaska, everything went sideways."

It’s worth thinking about these almost 50 people who lost their homes last month in an Anchorage fire. Most can’t find housing. What are all the people from Western Alaska going to do? Alaska has a housing crisis. #akleg #akgov
Nearly 50 people were displaced after a fire swept through Ravenwood Condominiums in Anchorage last month. Many are still paying mortgages and fees on homes they can’t live in.

“I don’t sleep much these days,” Sarah Witmer said.

Folks have been focused on the developing disaster in southwest Alaska, but America's farthest-west community is suffering, too: Adak has been without power for two weeks because of problems with the local generator.

A replacement generator is currently being sent on a barge, but it’s not scheduled to arrive until Nov. 3 – weather dependent.

Alaskan people represent approximately 20% of the statewide population if all Alaskan natives voted during the normal turnout this year the Alaska native vote has the ability to influence the direction of our state. We must make this happen!! #akleg
What’s even more amusing is that this is the second email I’ve received from him after spending 10 months trying to reach out through his constituent form. It really shows how out of touch he is. As a constituent, I won’t be voting for him he clearly isn’t concerned about our needs.
Did anyone else finally receive an email from Congressman Begich? I just got one asking me to sign up for the 2025 app challenge. Kind of funny considering it's been decades since I was in high school or college!

Our kids with special needs deserve better. 💔
Laying off Dept. of Education staff means fewer supports, fewer opportunities, and more barriers for children who rely on special education. This isn’t saving money it’s hurting lives. #ProtectSpecialEd #OurKidsMatter
Prayers for the family of that person, and the community.
Laying off Dept. of Education staff hurts kids who rely on special education support. This isn’t waste or fraud it’s vital care. Our children deserve better.
Anyone else exhausted but can’t give up. Time for action, please speak up. Please Contact our Alaska delegation and ask them to please act to protect education for children with disabilities.
Prayers for one of my personal hero’s.
Dolly is one of the genuinely good guys

Hoping with all my heart that she’ll be okay 🙏💖
