Jean Sullivan, who popped up in the audience looking impossibly glam, had been in Uncertain Glory with Errol Flynn in '44 and ended up the victim of man eating worms in Squirm (1976), a film I've never seen but vividly remember the VHS cover of worms coming out of a shower head. Weird connection!

Wowzers. A TV show running 11.30 to 1am in 1954 seems absolutely insane. I know Letterman made no secret of Steve Allen's influence but it blazes through in that.

Watching a bit about CEATEC in Japan, where AI can detect if you're getting tired at your desk, and adust the lighting and air con to wake you up, or a robot will bring you coffee to keep you "productive". At least galley slaves got a bit of sea air.
