I think that’s a unique property of your feed. I don’t think her name has come up in my feed since the scandal broke, while RFK is in my feed multiple times per day.

Also, I’m far from a fashion expert, but all of those jackets fit *terribly*

Couldn’t stomach watching it, but how on earth do they get an anti-semitism claim from any of the posts shown? What you and the others wrote was straight-ahead critique.

It seems like time, once again, to post the link to this 84-year-old article that has grown increasingly relevant to the US political climate over the past nine months:

Moreover, you shouldn’t rely *just* on your advisor’s page. Set up a Google Scholar page and an ORCID account — the latter in particular can serve as a permanent place to locate you (even if you change your name).

I’m currently chairing a search. Part of this is soliciting names of strong candidates from colleagues. I get many, but some of them I cannot contact—no webpage, not even an email on the “People” page of their postdoc advisor. I BEG of you: if you’re on the job market, BE FINDABLE!

Be careful — you may have used up your luck ration for the month.

Not to mention higher divorce rates (not sure that’s actually true, but even granting it) might be because someone with no career financially *can’t* leave even if they desperately want to.

The following is REAL footage from Portland, 2025. Viewer discretion is advised.

I’m an associate editor now (puffs chest out proudly), so I mostly assign editors who chase reviewers. You’re safe from me. 😂
agrossfield.bsky.social
Reminds me, I haven’t sent you a review request recently… 😈
agrossfield.bsky.social
As an editor, I try to filter the worst of it before it even goes to the reviewers, because we know the reviewers are also overworked. Obviously, I can only confidently do this in my own area, because it’s better to let junk get reviewed than to desk-reject something that turns out to be good.

Yes, and how is any of that relevant to the discussion you interrupted, where there almost certainly won’t be a viable third party?
agrossfield.bsky.social
May it continue as long as possible!
agrossfield.bsky.social
Since you chose to ignore where I already answered the second half of your comment, I think this discussion is over.

When faced with a binary choice, it’s foolish not to take the less bad one. However, the key in the interim is to avoid having to make that choice, by trying to ensure a better candidate gets nominated.

Sounds like the world’s worst porn parody

He would still be a lesser evil than anyone who the republicans would likely nominate — they’d share those negatives and have a lot of others. However, he’s pretty far down the list of people I’d want to see nominated.

On the outside chance you’re not a complete imbecile: one can do all of those things and still think Newsom is a mediocre presidential candidate who supports a lot of terrible policies. Saying so now ups the odds we end up nominating someone better.
agrossfield.bsky.social
I live in NY. In any event, this whole conversation was about Newsom as a presidential candidate.
agrossfield.bsky.social
To pick a presidential candidate? Yes. We need to see how people effectively resist, what they advocate for, and how they connect with people. Pointing out that Newsom is a deeply flawed politician doesn’t become a bad idea because he hired a good social media consultant.
agrossfield.bsky.social
Once again, one of your many contributions is helping the rest of us find people to block. You don’t deserve to be attacked like that.
agrossfield.bsky.social
Exactly — if Newsom were nominated, I’d hold my nose and vote for him as the lesser evil, but we’re >2 years out and there’s time to find someone better.

Only complaint is the preview on their site pixelates things, which worried us the first time. The real posters are fine.
