Ukraine's strategy of hitting refineries really pays out.

Because I don't believe the russians would protest without those strikes. First, it gives them a personal reason to be angry (no cheap fuel anymore), and secondly it shows them that the pootin regime isn't as strong as they thought it was.

Hungary is landlocked. The plane would have to fly over other countries. Example routes:
- Russia -> Ukraine -> Hungary
- Russia -> Belarus -> Poland -> Slovakia -> Hungary
- Russia -> Black Sea -> Romania -> Hungary
- Russia -> Black Sea -> Turkey -> Mediterranean -> Adriatic -> Croatia -> Hungary
