Screenwriter of rambunctious eloquence. Sometimes comedy, sometimes comedic, sometimes just dramatic. Hard to believe I was a Nicholl Finalist! Love movies, beer, music, tacos, and floating in a Texas river. BlueSky since 2023. Occasionally sarcastic.

Offered for consideration for #TheGreyList:

QUEEN OF THE SKY

When Nazis invade, young Ukrainian flier Lilya Litvyak battles not only the Luftwaffe but also the sexism and bureaucracy of the Soviet system to become history's highest scoring female ace. Then is forgotten. Until now.

Burped out a silly page #BigBox so I'm going to beat the "rush" (oh, how I laugh...) for #FunPageFriday:
Yeah, re-watched KISS KISS BANG BANG again.

Will probably do that again way sooner than most folks would expect.

Given that I am already writing a thing that is basically autobiographical about this stupid day gig... there's a high probability this will wind up in there.
Any day where I can look back and honestly say "yeah, I have a better handle on [that story] than I did yesterday."

Sometimes that means a pile of pages. Sometimes a few good paragraphs. Sometimes a good line. Sometimes some clear thoughts & ideas. Sometimes it's a lot of beer talking.

It varies.
Impenetrable security here.
Learned that an anonymous outside expert on submersibles did an interview with the OceanGate Titan investigation, and they released a transcript, with all the names redacted. The first line of his first answer? "I'm sure you're familiar with my film Titanic."

11 Q. So how did you get yourself started into submersible
12 operations?
13
A.
Well, I'm sure you're familiar with my film Titanic.
When I
14
set down the path to make that film, the first thing that I did
15
was arrange to be introduced to the head of the submersible
16
program at the P.P. Shirshov Institute in Moscow, a guy named

Professor
I. I did that through a mutual friend
18
of ours, a guy named
, who is one of the preeminent
underwater cinematographers in the world. And had been on a
20
submersible expedition out to Titanic the previous year with the
21
Russians. And that was organized by a Canadian company that was
22 doing an IMAX film which was released under the title Titanica.
Multiple folks I follow have remarked about some new uptick.

Elsewhere, I mean. Here it remains tumbleweeds and tedium.
The CEO did *NOT* in fact visit our store. Apparently he flew unvisited another nearby store that as the #1 ranked location on a recent metric, then hopped back on the corporate jet and whizzed back to wherever.

But by god I had some fun today faux-hyping the imminent visitation from on high.

Trump found another $20 BILLION to give to Argentina, totaling their bailout to $40 BILLION.

Yet we can’t afford to prevent millions of Americans from losing their healthcare.

Shame.
That thing when you accidentally click on the wrong video in your Youtube sidebar and now you are they're suggesting every whacked out freaky science conspiracy video imaginable...

I’m not good at sharing laurels and praise— it always makes me feel slimy and creepy.

But in the quiet moments late at night when the world and mood turn dark… it’s fun to have a pile of shiny things I can look at and not hate everything.
“If you sprinkle a little salt and pepper on your scrambled eggs, they’ll be far more flavorful!”

Wow. Thanks, perfesser.
If you hang around long enough, you get to enjoy that weird feeling of folks serving up long accepted near-universally understood bits of “wisdom” served up like it’s new and insightful.

Apply this to whatever field of interest you like— it holds as true. 🤣
