If you'd asked me a couple months ago if I'd deleted me Facebook and Instagram accounts I would have said "Yeah, years ago".

So now that I've gotten emails suggesting new Facebook groups to join and asking for Instagram password resets I can tell you that

YES I'VE DELETED THEM

STAY DELETED

FUCK
Jesus H Christ the fuckin' SIZE of these
Oh what's this? They have a texture! I bet they're cool little niblets
Found something cool at the shop today
It's not so easy to conceptualise all this because I would seriously just take a big plate of brassicas (steamed for those that need it, raw for the rest) and chow down because I'm a sicko like that.
Kohlrabi - artistic carving perhaps
Romanesco - whole florets to show off shape?
Kale - mixed colours chopped as a bed for the romanesco?
Brussels - roasted, ofc
Kalettes - gently steamed, garnish?
Thinking about my All Brassica Meal idea again. Could probably only realistically make one plate out of it unless significant other ingredients are allowed. But as a one-plate arrangement you could get some decent range.

Cauliflower - puree?
Purple cabbage - shreds for visual interest
Today's Three Drink Spread is

Coffee (hot, milk)
Berocca in ice water
Water

Because I've lost control of my life and also slept roughly 6 hours longer than expected.
Been mainlining Bloodlines 2 the last few days and I've gotta admit that my usual RPG approach of loading up heavy on passive perks and then trying to tank my way through is... not for this game.
Picked up some canned air because my PC has been a little hot lately. Really not much dust but blasted it out anyway. Plug it all back together and... won't start.

Power cycle, check every connection inside and out, download the manual for the motherboard. Nothing.

Push the button again.

On.

🙃
Going to the dentist to get work done only freaks me out for one reason.

It's not the drilling or the scraping or any of that.

It's wandering around afterwards with half my face numb not knowing if I've bitten myself and am bleeding profusely from the mouth in public.
Whenever the news is on when my parents are present I've been making a point of being that annoying guy who loudly calls bullshit when there's obvious spin or dishonest framing.

Just caught my mum doing it now too.

I'm so proud 🥲
Glance in the mirror

"Ah beans. Got some dry skin on my upper lip."

Lean in. Get a close look.

White hairs coming through 🙃
One of these days I'm going to feed someone a three course all-brassica meal and see if they figure it out.
Felt like I really needed to add some extra veg and carrots were what I had, so...

Also surprise double yolker!
FINE

ONE THOUSAND

Lame-ass bullshit
The loading bar hasn't moved.

I may have impulsed too close to the neutron star this time.

Maybe... Ten thousand?
Somehow hadn't realised that one of the mods I have for Stellaris lets me play in a galaxy of

FIFTY THOUSAND STARS

so now I think I'm gonna go make soup or stew or something from scratch while my PC shits itself trying to generate all that.
I dunno if it's alexithymia or something else but I feel like I'm more susceptible than most to the

"Are you fine?
You don't look fine.
I can tell when you're not fine.
Why are you mad now?

pipeline. Maybe I'm just a bad communicator.
For real, though, as annoying as it is, this isn't such a huge deal for me. Because of my circumstances I'm going to be getting some antiviral infusions in the next few days. Also I'm up to date on my immunisations. So this'll be the mildest possible infection.
SHIT PISS FUCK DAMN TITTY ASS
Time to do another booger-stick snot-swab.

Look at the cute little biohazard baggies you get with these ones though!
isn't going to work and wouldn't even try. But with enough leaps of logic and mental gymnastics I can sort of understand where the lady I was overhearing today was coming from.

I mean, that's not how any of this works and it never ever has. But I get your train of thought. Sort of.
The longer I've been chronically ill and heavily medicated the more effort it takes to empathise with people who rarely have to deal with pharmacies and struggle when they do.

I know, for instance, that leaving a prescription at one place and trying to pick it up at the other location up the road..
Any time I answer a phone call these days it's only because I'm expecting one, otherwise it's just going to ring out and they just have to deal with it.

The number of times I've been contacted by some supposed branch of Telstra (with whom I've never had any service)...
