"Beyond the Binary.

Secret lines are drawn,
'Biological' narrowed down,
A legal decree...

Transgender heartache,
Forced to fit just one of two,
Identity? Lost.

Open gates slam shut,
Some are barred from play,
Open fields, out of reach.

'Biological' rule,
Changing rooms fill with dread,
No place to feel safe.

"Clear proof"?
But what sort do they require?
Fear in changing times.

Pronouns, now ammo,
In new and troubled days,
Identity's stand.

No gender of mine.
See fading lines bring hurt,
Two hands join beyond.

And voices declare,
"This is my own,"
Courts cannot take soul.
