Just the top headlines from FactSet. Note the AI news and how big banks are thriving. Not what happens before a recession. OpenAI is now partnering with Walmart and Arm Holdings.

The deals keep coming. Sam Altman may be the visionary CEO ever or completely crazy...possibly a bit of both😉

For private credit private equity venture capital global infrastructure and big a ideals I trust Brookfield and Nvidia.

And Amazon.

These people are a lot smarter than me.

And Brookfield is paying me 3% per year to own them 😉

I feel as smart as Jensen right now 😂
adamgalas.bsky.social
1% and it's $100 billion but notice private markets are 3% of assets but 13% of revenue.

Those are so profitable and that's why I own Brookfield asset Management BAM!

They are the second largest alternative asset manager In the world and I've been around for 123 years.
adamgalas.bsky.social
Black rocks Bitcoin ETF in just over a year got to $100 billion in assets under management and that is less than 1% of their total assets under management which is 13.5 trillion.
adamgalas.bsky.social
The bank earnings were spectacular with 13% earnings growth and the credit cards showing no significant stress among consumers.

Sorry Scott Galloway No recession for you😉

Because the very poor people that you are so concerned about will be hurt the most but you think that's okay because at least Trump will finally be stopped... That's not the way the world works.
adamgalas.bsky.social
I'm taking another break from watching Scott Galloway He's a good guy he's right on the issues almost all of the time but this level of pessimism is just too much.

Rooting for recession is immoral.
adamgalas.bsky.social
But rooting for a crash and trying to scare people out of the stock market when the economy is strong and possibly accelerating... That's wrong

I don't care what your intentions are pearl clutching virtue signaling constant pessimistic doomsday prophecies are not actually accurate.
adamgalas.bsky.social
Is a fascist.

He has actively called our soldiers in generals his soldiers in generals.

No they are the soldiers and generals of the United States They are not his private army but he thinks they are
adamgalas.bsky.social
About all the terrible things that might happen in the future?

Because guess what bad things can always happen in the future poor people have always suffered there's never been a time when the bottom 20% of Americans didn't suffer.

I don't disagree that Trump is a threat to democracy and that he
adamgalas.bsky.social
And I want to know what exactly is your point and what is Ed's point with your constant railing against this supposed AI bubble?

What is the actionable recommendations and steps that the rest of us can take or are we supposed to just listen for 4 years as you b**** and moan and clutch your pearls
adamgalas.bsky.social
Without a I spending we would be at 0.1% growth for the first half of the year and it's exactly because of the policies that you have been criticizing the president for.

The economy is not thriving because of Trump but despite him.

But that doesn't mean that you are right in denying basic facts
adamgalas.bsky.social
Well that's not quite true with Kai ryssdal You did say there is a chance that we were wrong and tariffs are not bad.

That's the wrong lesson to take tariffs are bad there is no reputable economist who thinks that 18% or 33% tariffs are not disastrous.
adamgalas.bsky.social
It's okay I'm not saying you're a bad person It's just important to realize where you are coming from what's your frame of mind is and that no amount of good news about the economy is likely to cause you to admit that you might be wrong
adamgalas.bsky.social
So pessimistic that you're convinced we are on the verge of recession when the economy was actually growing at 4%.

You are so blinded by your pessimism about the president and the end of democracy that you are pretty much rooting for a catastrophe so that everyone will finally realize Trump is bad
adamgalas.bsky.social
That says something about you Scott that you think Americans are so stupid.

It's because as you admit you are cynical because you spend way too much time on social media where the algos feed you very pessimistic news.
adamgalas.bsky.social
For a recession.

"If the S&P were down 20% right now they would not be troops in Portland because the stock market is giving cover for Trump to do whatever he wants."

Yeah that's not true.

"If the stock market is going up Americans think that whatever the president is doing is okay."
adamgalas.bsky.social
Yes that's right without AI spending we would be in recession or very close to it.

And without Nvidia in the stock market US stocks would have underperformed Europe since the pandemic.

But NVDA does exist The AI boom continues to accelerate... And Scott Galloway basically admitted he's rooting
adamgalas.bsky.social
92% of the economic growth in the first half of the year was from AI spending?

Athena please fact check.
adamgalas.bsky.social
Pretty much everything this government is not doing is the opposite of what is optimal for a healthy thriving society in strong economy It's quite remarkable really.
adamgalas.bsky.social
That's right We are spending more money to deport people who are benefiting the US economically and financial aid then we spend on childcare for Americans.
adamgalas.bsky.social
But in the age of social media and Fox News you will hear about every single one of them.

"Syrian refugees are militant terrorists coming to kill your children... Here are five Americans murdered by such people."

"The plural of anecdote is anecdotes not data " Brian dunning
adamgalas.bsky.social
Comit crimes at half the rate of native-born Americans.

And according to the IRS they are a windfall for social security.

Refugees by the way commit crimes 1/3 as much as native born American.

In fact statistically speaking... One American is killed every 2 years by a refugee.

5 per decade.
