Hey, Trump, you claim Reagan loved tariffs as you do. How about showing that? The Canadian prime minister of Ontario made it clear by posting Reagan's words that he was not thrilled with them. Where's your proof?
Hey, Elon Musk, hadn't you better start paying attention to the health of your businesses instead of taking time on silly posts on X? Tesla's failing and SpaceX's hold on important contracts also weakening. Please note I muted and blocked your last follow.
R.Nicholas Burns top diplomat under Biden, said US should oppose unfair trade practices against Chima but caid Trump's tariffs on allies like Japan and Korea were a "major miscalculation", making them less likely "work with us as a united front against China.
M. Duss at the Center for International Policy told NYT Trump was undermining US credibility abroad by the internal crisis. "Bu actively deepening that crisis with his blatantly authoritarian moves, Trump is eroding...American strength. He's essentiall throwing away some very important cards".
Retired judge advocate general officers G.S.Corn told NYT that US was not in an armed conflict with drug cartels, notwithstanding Trump's "determination. He said he believed that the killings were illegal and was concerned about the impact on the morality of those who have to carry out them out."
I think the future will bring many legal difficulties for the Trump administration officers directing the extrajudicial killings he claims are of drug-traffickers responsible for millions of Americans with fentanyl. One problem is that South Americans are not producing fentanyl but cocaine.
Block Island residants are praising the wInd farm that has revolutionized their access to energy and internet and reduced their costs. "The benefits have been extraordinary" said the head ot the Town Council Kieth Stover. They now have more energy than they need and soon 100% will be renewable.
Former mayor of Frisco, Willie Brown, "known as one of the savviest politicians in modern California history", had praise for now Mayor Daniel Lurie, who deterred Trump from sending yet another surge of US forces there. "He clearly had very good quality, smart advice for dealing with Trump." NYT
Yesterday AP reported that US District Judge Jeffrey Commings, who is in charge of the ICE consent decree from 2022, appeared about to order the release of all immigrants arrested in Chicago and northern Illinois without a judicial warrant.
Since the Midway Blitz began, Chicago and Chicagoans have been attracting a lot of attention. I've picked up lots of iteresting new followers and have followed them back.
Andrew Cuomo's quick to falsely vilify Zohran Mamdani as a jihadist but his primary campaign was lackluster and dilatory. I doubt he can win the mayor's office after that performance, but if he did, one can imagine that his service in the job would also be lackluster and dilatory.
Headline posted by NYT today: 'Come on, President Trump, is this "America First" policy? No'. Kyle Hemmert, a cattle rancher, on Trump's plans to buy Argentine beef.
Trump and his followers can't take the truth. It enrages them.
ICE and Border Patrol, not wearing IDs and name-tags and not using valid license plates on their cars, have arranged total impunity for themselves. Citizens unlawfully arrested and undocumented people who are mistreated unlawfully have no way to get recourse. Unmask them! Make them obey the law!
DHS stated in defense of using tear gas in Little Italy, that Bovino had been hit in the head with a rock. But they've backed off that, saying only that demonstrators had surrounded them. However, videos did not show officers being surrounded. Why not show what they claim from their body cameras?
When DHS on the one hand and the Defense Department on the other, make statements at odds with the available evidence, I think that the fact that they never present evidence, just insist, means they are lying. They don't have evidence to back up what they claim. What else can one think?

Plus, it's clear ICE really hates the yelling. They try to say it's illegal and that they are warning people they will be arrested for doing it.

A lot of folks may think that just yelling at ICE agents is ineffective, but consider the cumulative psychological toll of being yelled at EVERY DAY when trying to do shit. Even the biggest asshole in the world who doesn't give a shit about other people will feel the pressure.
More from the scene
Somehow, the Chicago situation is encouraging many Americans to hold forth on the importance of the constitution, of officers behaving lawfully and respectfully, and of truth and kindness. I'm getting many many such followers and very few angry trolls.
On X/Twitter Musk's trying to protect the trolls going after those of us who post about Trump administration's misbehavior. When I try to answer them, the system says repeatedly, "Oops, that post didn't go forward". However, GROK is supporting the facts of our posts rather than the troll's slurs.
On the Sept. 30 raid on 7500 S. S. Shore Dr. DHS claimed the target was Tren de Aragua gang but as in most raids here never proved it. Judge Cummings said, "However, one thing seems clear: ICE rousted American citizens..[in] the middle of the night and detained them-in zip ties no less.
