For a brief, blessed stretch this spring, I was looking forward to seeing D’Angelo perform Voodoo with The Roots. Here’s what I wrote about the album — an epilogue for the 20th century, a prologue to the 21st — on the occasion of its 25th anniversary.

The Dilla remix of “Dreamin Eyes” came up on shuffle and whenever that happens I have to listen to all three records. What a legacy.

Damn. RIP D’Angelo. Just relistened to the whole catalog last week.

I think albums shouldn't stop getting played because it's three months past their release date-- something that is getting very real these past couple of years.

I spent more than a year on this, while its subject being something I've been working towards in my albums since 2020.

Anyone know what Dedekind Cut / Lee Bannon has been up to? Been relistening to his various projects and realized I haven't heard anything about him in ages.
