In August, Nassau County lawmakers passed a bill banning the public from wearing masks. Protesters showed up today masked anyway. We asked them why.

Thousands of people are peacefully standing up for our democracy today, both across Oregon and across the country.

Political violence has no place in our democracy, and I’m grateful to everyone who’s looking out for one another today, and to the marshals and safety officers keeping everyone safe.
