Beatrice sought new rules, she adapted to new circumstances and tried not to let her past suffering define her.

That is an interesting point, and I think its a way to draw a parallel between Lilith and Beatrice.

Both came from environments where there were clear expectations for them, but where the chose to break from those expectations, and how and why, are very different.

I'm afraid I must disagree with you. I don't think its guilt so much as the pain of loss in regards to Shannon. After being healed, we see her backstory and how she acted impulsively and arrogantly, leading to the deaths of her Mother Superion and Sisters. She says that she holds the OCS to a high
