On the left, the refurbished Lincoln bathroom. On the right, picture I took in Saddam Hussein's palace in Basra in 2005.
Man, it's like CBS News and Teen Vogue traded places and that's why Teen Vogue is an actual, respected journalism periodical.
Lmao what (from today's Breaker newsletter)

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

📌 Too bad we don't have a

President 😪 Oh wait ‼️⤵️🐥
That's why we stopped. We protest with our dollars and they're not getting any of them.
All these articles about Target firing 1800 workers and their sales in a slump and no mention of getting rid of their DEI program as a reason people stopped shopping there 😒

Watching college football, I can't help but think, "I really hope that guy is going pro because I can't see him being a corporate tax auditor with all those neck tattoos."

NBC News finds that:
-- ICE has shortened its training from 13 weeks to six.
-- Nearly half of recruits couldn’t pass an open-book written exam.
-- Recruits "are supposed to attest" they can pass the physical-fitness test, which requires them to run ... 6 mph.

Some new ICE recruits have shown up to training without full vetting
The recruits have had criminal backgrounds or failed drug tests or were unable to meet physical or academic standards, raising concerns about the agency’s rush to hire immigration officers, sources to...

Seattle can't stop shooting themselves in the face. Every decent Seattle play or error by the Texans is followed by a near, and now a critical, mistake.
That was a fucking safety! #seahawks

You're not gonna believe this but @cbsnews.com appears to not have a story about some of the largest mass protests in American history anywhere on its main page.
UW isn't doing a great job today, but it's made even worse by this fucking color commentator who might as well be calling the game for a local Michigan AM radio station.
I've told people they are the smartest person I know twice and several times I've told someone they are brilliant, but I can't count how many times I've refrained from calling someone stupid.

If racists are free to say racist shit, we should normalize telling stupid people they are stupid.

When people show you who they are, believe them.

And of course JD Vance refused to condemn this.
Man, I need to get a haircut and a beard trim, I'm starting to move into "randomly selected for additional security screening" territory.

Just kidding, no one is flying anywhere; but I do need a shave and a haircut.

SCOOP: The State Department's new reorganization plan includes the opening of an "Office for Remigration," a term popularized by far right extremists and neo-Nazis in Europe. The office will coordinate directly with DHS "to advance the President’s immigration agenda."

My report:
State Department set to launch ‘Office of Remigration’
The concept of remigration has explicitly neo-Nazi roots and has been popularized in Europe.

The new Tron OST is crazy bc it alternates between late 90s/early 2000s when industrial was semi-popular and fighting off pop (thanks to The Matrix) and 60s and 70s sci-fi music (e.g. A Clockwork Orange and 2001). Highly recommend!

As I've noted, central to Stephen Miller's propaganda is the claim that the Chicago complex targeted by ICE was "filled" with Tren de Aragua "terrorists."

Now @jacobsoboroff.bsky.social reports that the number of TdA members netted in that raid is down to *one.*

This explains a lot.
A number of popular protein supplements contain levels of lead that could pose health concerns, according to a new report that tested samples of 23 powders and shakes.
Report Finds Lead in Naked Protein Powders and Other Popular Brands
Experts said the levels were not high enough to cause immediate harm, but raised the risk of long-term health effects.

There is no world where he wrote that. At most, he added the last sentence.

A five-point-five billion Trump golf course in Qatar, and Qatar gets an air base in Idaho.
She was getting a little...forceful on the phone and she suddenly realized there are patients in the lobby so she stepped away to the back room only to get louder. It sounds like the person on the other end hung up on her.
The place I'm getting my MRI at is wild. The receptionist has been on the phone (earbuds) the entire time I've been here. Her ongoing conversation is about how the person on the other end accused her of lying and what was really said.
