If your device is connected to the internet, then either (a) you should be able to query the time via NTP, or (b) you should not display the time at all. 🙄
Seattle!! Haven't been this stoked for a concert announcement in a loooong time.
Protip: If you need to make a QR code, and the site requires you to register/login, then it's trash and don't use it. The wife just got caught by one of these. A QR code just encodes data, and if you're creating one for a link, it should encode the link directly. I recommend justaqrcode.com

If you've ever wondered what John Wick would have been like with Bob Odenkirk in the lead instead of Keanu, it's definitely worth checking out the two Nobody flicks. Just saw the second one and had a blast.
It's been a while since I've widely advertised it, but DREAMM 4.0 is (finally) nearing the end of its beta cycle. If you're a LucasArts/Lucasfilm Games/Lucas Learning fan and want to see how easy it can be to run your old games on a modern PC/Mac, check it out: dreamm.aarongiles.com/beta

Downside of not being into sports much is that you're unprepared to discover that the Mariners playoff game is happening when you're scheduled to meet a friend for a beer.
I've also occasionally wanted a "straight" blinker so I could indicate I *wasn't* making a turn in some more complicated traffic scenarios.
This was a great video about the history of the behind the scenes videos shot for the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I've had the Blu-Ray set for years and didn't realize I was overlooking a whole set of additional documentaries! www.youtube.com/watch?v=k68X...

Don't count on it. Past history shows GOG typically loses originals after SEs come out as well. Witness the lack of original Monkey Island or Day of the Tentacle or Full Throttle, say.

This is why I'm not generally in favour of remasters as they tend to lead to the erasure of originals, or at best, they are relegated to becoming DLC for newer versions.

This is not preservation, just a cynical cash grab, ironically by a company that is not even the original it claims to be.
Finally a data breach settlement with some actual bite. I'm sure this will really incentivize them to treat user data with care and top security going forward. 🙄
Actually it doesn't! Which is great, honestly, because I already have it on the Strangelove single. While there is a bit of overlap between these collections and the singles, there are quite a lot of new remixes I hadn't heard before. (Collections are 3 CDs each but I renumbered them into one list.)
LOL, Dream Warriors was peak Nightmare for me as a teen watching them as they came out. Plus that Dokken title track slapped. I was always a bit partial to Nightmare 2, but that was probably just my contrarian teenage rebellion speaking. I doubt any of them would hold up on a revisit!
Just picked up Depeche Mode's two deluxe remix compilations (which I didn't know existed until recently), and am enjoying the heck out of them. I know not everyone loves remixes but some bands really know how to do them right. My fave remix bands: DM, NIN, Front 242, Nitzer Ebb, Pet Shop Boys.
I feel you. I can't tolerate most hazies (and hate that they've taken over the IPA space). But September/October is fresh hop season and fortunately in the Pacific NW there's lots of non-hazy fresh hop goodness to enjoy. Hope you can find some good non-hazy alternatives where you live!

Resub'ed to AppleTV to catch the latest seasons of For All Mankind, Severance, Silo, and Foundation, which were all excellent. Then since Apple has a great sci-fi track record, decided to check out Invasion. Oof. I think I'm out after 4 eps. It's going nowhere and I hate half the characters.
Almost posted this before I realized that "having your own domain and web page" was different from "being on the internet"
From rec.music.cd apparently, though Google doesn't exactly make it easy to see the group name when searching the old Usenet archives.
Using one image how long have you bee on the internet?
Tank Girl was another solid soundtrack featuring a fascinating cross-section of mid-90s alternative bands. (Though I honestly can't stand the "Girl U Want" version on here because it's excruciatingly slow.)
Revisiting some old soundtracks and damn I had forgotten just how loaded The Crow soundtrack was with industrial/metal heavyweights. Granted, not all original for the soundtrack, but several were (Burn, Dark Souls, Golgatha at least).

people who code with AI are a joke and if you fit that descriptor I need you to understand that all of us actual programmers are making fun of you
Just noticed the OCR on one of my postcards interpreted M.I.T. as M.L.T., LOL.
