We had a great time, went up-down the Shafer trail 3 times!
We had pretty capable 4x4s here in California over the years, but drove a standard (comfy) SUV on this trip. We rented a nice Rubicon in Moab, this was fun, but not at all challenging in the Jeep!
The trail was on my bucket list.

The original, and now pedestrian only, Navajo Bridge.
It spans Marble Canyon, hundreds of feet above the Colorado River and leads to the very scenic Vermillion Cliffs on the Pariah Plateau in Arizona.

It was surprisingly easy there were some very narrow sections where it would be difficult to back up when encountering oncoming traffic.

During a seven day trip through Ca, Az and Utah last week, we encountered several locked visitor centers and park facilities.
Ice Barbie is playing propaganda videos at our airports blaming delays on democrats for the GOP shutdown.
