4/5 2 months ago'on G Google Good for the old town and with Premier Inn youu know what you are going to get. Was disappointed to see the pride flag on the door and reference to Stonewall. All a bit woke. Never understand why businesses can't stick to the basics. I donft want them spending money on this rubbish, concentrate on giving me good quality at a good price please.

Would I have had a better education at Oxford if the environment had not been so toxic? If I hadn't been exposed daily to horrific misogyny? Hadn't been constantly told, implicitly or otherwise, that of course I wasn't as bright because I was from a state school and the north? Without a doubt.

struggling to budget both myself & a decent post-doc under the ukri grant caps (given the massive overheads unis charge) & wondering how others are managing. Then I see all the 0.4 fte for 15 months precarious post-docs being advertised & realise that’s the only way to do it. I hate it, thanks.

After reading part of the Becontree tenants' handbook of rules and regulations, they concluded, "it's a bit like Hot Fuzz, where the town is bucolic English politeness but at night your neighbours could kill you", which is a pleasing reference to a film when most of them were 2 years old.
