Each year on July 18, people across the globe pause to honour a man whose moral courage changed the course of history. Mandela Day invites every person to devote 67 minutes of service to others—one minute for each year that Mandela dedicated to the struggle for human rights and equality.
Congratulations to my McMaster University colleague and friend, Juliet Daniel, on being awarded a Distinguished University Professorship—an honour that reflects her remarkable contributions to science, mentorship, and community service.
My new book, "The Role of Networks in Advancing Human Rights," co-edited with Dr. Mark Gibney (University of North Carolina) and Dr. Shareen Hertel (University of Connecticut), examines how human rights networks operate and impact outcomes on a global scale.
