SpectraLayers Pro really does blow RX Advanced out of the water for a lot of things. A client of mine needed a theme song to one of their shows without vocals. They never asked for stems when they commissioned it. Hardly any manual work was needed by me since it separated stuff so cleanly

How many #Fieldrecording ppl out there use Cedar Retouch? I'm on my first hour of my trial and I'm blown away. It has quickly removed sounds I spent hours trying to remove in RX and Spectralayers. I might have to drop the $400. But seriously, can the interface be any crapier? 1/2

Results will vary depending on how clean the initial vocal rip is. In SpectraLayers you want the "Unmix Chorus" from the "Modules" drop down menu. ⬇️

現在のDAWスキルをフル活用すると、
①SpectraLayersでボーカルとバッキング分離
②ボーカルだけをwav2mid等で、midi化
③それをSVに読み込んで歌詞設定
④SVでwav書きだしたのをDAWで読み込む
⑤DAWでバッキングとSV書き出しを読み込んでMix down
で、あっという間にプロクオリティな
「替え歌」が作れちゃうな、と。
すげえ時代がやってきたもんだ・・・

SpectraLayers Pro 11の「上とマージ」機能を使用する際、上のレイヤーがミュート状態だった場合は、マージしたときに上のレイヤーが消失するため、これに気づかないままだと数時間の作業が水の泡になる。てかなった

I've been having more luck with SpectraLayers Unmix function for noise over top of words and sometimes paste the words back in from different layers. It's like Photoshop with sound

After nearly thirty years of using Cool Edit Pro and Adobe Audition, I have officially switched to Steinberg's SpectraLayers for spectral editing. I'm so tired of subscription models for software and Steinberg lets you buy their program outright.

Did some transcription work for a mandolin student this afternoon. Really hard to do as all the instruments in the tune overlap each others’ ranges. Half the time I thought I was listening to the mandolin, but it was a high guitar part. Thankfully SpectraLayers was able to separate the parts out.
