I’m not a researcher, just a community physician. I left last summer with my family. I wouldn’t have been able to if I had elderly parents to care for.

Physician-researcher Dr. Marthe Gautier discovered that people with Down syndrome have an extra chromosome; a fellow doctor stole the credit.

Dr. Gautier died on April 30, 2022. She was 96. For some reason the New York Times published her obituary yesterday.

Starting to believe that J. K. Rowling has always carried a sneering contempt for the LGBT+ community.

This obscure character loves unicorns, has "sweet" in his surname, and shares his uncommon first name with an early researcher focused on homosexuality and transness.

Academics (notably @ the U of *Alabama*) disagree with your statement. As a physician & former lab researcher, I am also inclined to disagree that there are sufficient data to support this assertion and have witnessed too many mice die agonizingly in NO2 chambers to believe this method humane.

A funny thing I realized is that half the time you see a quote from a researcher or physician trying to explain why “ultra-processed foods” are bad for health they fall back on the old culturally Protestant notion that making food TOO palatable leads to gluttony and other ailments of body & spirit

The antis are intentionally getting arrested. It's a setup to attack UK abortion buffer zone laws bc they want to scream in women’s faces, harass patients, and follow hospital staff down the street at night as they leave work. Then they scream, "Persecution!"
