I always have a lot of tithonia in the yard. It’s a critical late season pollinator plant. With drastically accelerated climate change, my zone has changed. My front yard bakes, so I have to garden for 7a to 8. #Lantana is another late season nectar plant. #tithonia #naturalizedyard #gardening

A couple years ago, this sweet mama would leave her two fawns next to a stream in nearby parkland so she could eat and rest in a large stand of goldenrod just outside our bedroom.

@markfilex.bsky.social Did the same to me. In 2011/12 I was naturalizedyard. In 2016 terriresists. I was really good at spotting Russian accounts, bots, misinfo, etc. After musk bought twitter, he shut down my 28k account and permanently banned terriresists.

The only animal we had to kill was roof rats that got in the house. They’re so adorable, but not in my house. However, the foxes came and took care of the ones outside. Mother fed her two cubs with them.

We see and have an untold number of caterpillars in the yard. A few. From left: pipevine swallowtail, black swallowtail, sphinx moth, monarchs.
The first time I saw a sphinx moth caterpillar, it freaked me out. They get bigger.
