The Savannah Powder Magazine, or the “castle in the woods” off U.S. 17, is now on the National Register. I passed this 19th-century relic daily when I worked at my old shop but never saw it. Here’s hoping the city can make it more of a showpiece. #cityofsavannah

The issue is two-fold: Noise and large tour groups blocking sidewalks. Downtown residents don’t like their homes being part of a Disney-like attraction. Tour guides are just trying to make a living. Would better enforcement of existing laws solve the issue? #cityofsavannah

Speaking of Forsyth, the park’s iconic fountain is due this summer for its first maintenance overhaul since 1988. The restoration requires a shutdown that is expected to last through Labor Day. #cityofsavannah
