Capitalism in Trump’s Gilded Age, where the robber barons get wealthfare checks for exploding rockets and media platforms.
The 19th century version assuaged their guilt with libraries and museums
Hopefully if history proceeds itself a progressive wave will follow this capitalist feeding frenzy.

Also what does "facilitate building more houses" even mean?
Because if it's not public housing it's going to be corporate wealthfare for the landlord class.

Wealthfare has always been the real problem
Billionaires are using a loophole to avoid Medicare taxes. Closing it — and eliminating other ways around the tax for wealthy business owners — could raise more than $250 billion over 10 years for the program.

Why do Labour & Tory ministers always have so much to say about reforming welfare, but stay silent when it comes to reforming wealthfare? Bec they believe in the class system. The last Tory PM was richer than the King, and our current one was knighted for his services to the carceral state. #r4today

Also cutting the Pentagon by 5% would give US more than enough money for healthcare, etc. And right now with the tariffs, most likely Americans will be paying at minimum $2000 more in taxes. But this is only to make up for the shortfall caused by the Wealthfare tax break for Millionaires+ Club.

It's not that radical. These are all fading Silicon Valley stars who had run out of productive ideas & were making bad wagers on new tech- the GOP offered them the same billionaire wealthfare it offered the Earth Barons (those mining & carbon industry guys).
How did tech industry leaders go from heaping praise on Barack Obama to going all in on Donald Trump?

I think we can afford them, we need to choose to spend on different things
So remove subsidy of corporates, remove tax breaks on wealth, spend on nationalising, spend on welfare instead of wealthfare
I suppose we will stay disjointed as a nation whilst preference for wealth and corporations persist
