I don't know what you know about Navy kit, but I have work boots, one pair is the parade boot. You can/could 😆 comb your hair in the reflection of my toecaps. The are shined after wearing, and covered with socks to protect them from scratches or dust. Then there are Sea Boots, old and new, and shoes

Steel toecaps are a blessing too. A subtle weight that means I can be like a delicate carver with a chizel making super precisely gentle kicks that are oh so satisfying.

I used to always wear steel toecaps to metal shows, and that probably did a lot of damage before I learned to tape my feet (my orthopedic doc showed me how), bought high quality insoles, and padded the area around my toes with wool and bandages. You gotta take care of your feet.

Apparently, despite being the sole brand of the UK forces, Kiwi have stopped selling polish.
Went to bull my toecaps, no polish, none in the shops, tried with Parade Gloss, nope.
You can still buy it, at a mark-up, online. Got two tins.

khona reminded me i need to upgrade from GT-50s at some point because they loooove to drop my toestops if i lift more than 4 wheels off track at once. I literally bolt them mostly onto my toecaps bc i KNOW theyre gonna fall out n i dont want them rolling onto track LMAOOOOO

No, we do a lot of Infrastructure work, roads, railways, water, electric etc, and on all these sites there will be a Billy Big Bollocks Main Contractor and we have to abide by their site rules, which is often complete orange plus hat, goggles, gloves and steel toecaps.
