This doesn't happen very often in #GreaterSudbury. The ops cmte voted this wk to increase #SpeedLimits on parts of MR15 from 60 km/h to 70 km/h. Apparently motorists had been complaining the speed limit was too low.

Greater Sudbury committee agrees to increase speed limit on parts of Municipal Road 15
Slower speed is frustrating drivers, especially those trying to avoid truck traffic along the route, city councillors told.

11h5m mit Verbrenner veranschlagt, es waren 11h51m mit dem #EAuto Speedlimits eingehalten und selbst VMax 120 km/h.

Digitale Streckenmaut in AT sehr nice. Mit 50km/h durch die Mautstelle fahren während Hubert nebenan Ansteht und Münzgeld raus sucht. Rechnung kommt Automatisch kurz danach per Email.

2) Snowplow priority routes -- multistring with road speedlimits!
3) Pothole report data since 2023

Most US cities do have speedlimits of 30 mph or less....
Until you get west of the Mississippi.
And the fines are negligible for most.
We can legislate until we're blue in the face, but until there is sufficient compliance/enforcement, laws are meaningless.

Coming just now back from the Bodensee Area where Speedlimits alternate between 100 (open street) and 30 (Village) every so often I can only see that as a massive non-issue

"We need traffic cams, we need cars that limit themselves to local speedlimits"

I feel like "banning cars in densely populated urban areas" is a better solution than "surveillance state" tbh.

If your car has an internet connection you bought a bad product

Nationalism for me here is the "drug" in regards of offering the only country without speedlimits as a tourism spot for people around you.
Nothing to do with nationalism. I is just "logic" that we should implement speed limits.

If only Aotearoa had such an evidence-based judicial system.

We could've easily rejected the bullshit "economic growth" arguments that justify increasing speedlimits, cutting cycling & pedestrian improvements, and building multi-lane highways with a BCR of <1.
