#PrometheOS
PrometheOS let's us enable RTC use and adjust the time and date. The project page says that it should last 6-10 years 😎 Customer didn't want a new HDD so I installed UIX-Lite in his existent partitioned HDD. Maybe it can hold 2 or 3 games? 🤔😂

With a Cerbios Flash you can use Drives with up to 16TB.

There are some good inexpensive internal HDMI solutions that should even help you squeeze out DTS.
If you look for a decent modchip, look for a ModXo and flash to it PrometheOS.

As a dashboard look for XBMC4Gamers or UIX Lite.

Pandora is a means to accessing Xbins, and Xbins hosts Cerbios (a custom BIOS for og Xbox) and PrometheOS (open source firmware for Xbox modchips). MakeMHz claims these two pieces of software used parts of his code without permission.

Context: LoveMHz uses this as an example that PrometheOS stole parts of his code. When I asked the author, Equinox, about this he has this to say about the apparent similarity (attached).

ok if you really wanna be anal, then cerb maybe as afaik that does use parts of the og bios. but PrometheOS?? really guys?
(That being said ill post and host whatever I want soooo)

PrometheOS is wild, what do you mean the Xbox is booting a mini operating system off of the mod chip

open source lpc device emulator for the original xbox called Modxo (pronounced modsho, linked in embed), running PrometheOS which lets me directly format and ftp files into a new drive, as well as being able to run the bios of most modchips, attached through an adaptor by @modzvilleusa.bsky.social

oh thank god it works i'm down to the last inch and a half of solder at this point.

Team Resurgent let us play around with PrometheOS. EQ gave us the base for a neat little FTPd addon for UIX Lite.

I installed an rpi pico with prometheos on my original xbox and made a custom skin for it

Happy New Year everyone!
A preview of something some friends and I have been working on.
The Skeleton Key ENDGAME payload contains PrometheOS, Insignia's Setup Assistant, XCAT, a controller and memory test and Rocky5's softmod, all sized down to fit on an 8MB memory unit! 1/3

Next up the Topvint ModXo installation. The previous LPC rebuild had a couple of missing pins in the port, which I had to put back an resolder. The Topvint ModXo modchips come with PrometheOS and the latest Cerbios in the first bank.

I then proceeded to upgrade the RAM. I used an Aladdin chip with Xblat to test the installation (I wish PrometheOS would have a RAM test too!)

Is a Raspberry Pi in there. It runs PrometheOS, which can handle multiple BIOS banks. So the software that boots the chip is different than the BIOS replacement for MS' firmware, if that makes sense. You can upload new BIOS though a web browser. Is really cool!

Since I haven't posted it here on bsky yet... specs:

1.4ghz CPU, 128mb RAM, 4TB HDD, Nemesis SATA adapter (UDMA6), Dual-80mm fans, Noctua 60mm (main fan), internal digital HDMI, internal OGX360 (by N64 Freak), Xenium modchip, Xenium RGB kit, XIRC 2.

Running Cerbios and PrometheOS.

But the best feature of the ModXO is that it is based on the well known RP2040 microcontroller platform, and the firmware is open sourced, making it pretty future proof! For example, you can run the #PrometheOS BIOS, which starts a web server for futher customisation, all running in your modchip!
