The GameGear, Lynx, Wonderswan, Neo Geo Pocket, NGPC, Gameboy, Gameboy Color, GBA, DS, 3DS, PSP, PSVita were all LCDs or in the case of PSVita, OLED or LCD.

i mean im not playing fighting games in general but playing fighting games on an ngpc requires someone else with an ngpc. i dont think im finding that.

NGPC was great and the system startup jingle is burned into my brain. I had the clear one with Metal Slug and Sonic. Sadly though, I was a fool and sold it some time around 2009. I have regrets

This is such an odd blend of Sonic 2 + 3, somehow pulled off on an 8-bit system, I adore this odd NGPC game

Its a signal integrity nightmare but ironically works. Verified pixel accumulator logic and frame indexing/arbiting.
Will have purpose built PCB in a few weeks for NGPC interfacing so this wiring nightmare go away

The Pocket has definitely become my go-to for GB/GBA/GG/NGPC but I will still play my Game Boy Micro when out and about because it is just so portable. My OLED-modded GBC is my go-to for GBC games because the Pocket just can’t match that nice OLED (I really wish it could though!).
