Scanners is a good movie but its lesser Cronenberg
Cool effects, great direction of tension and paranóia, Ironside is amazing, Cronenberg X-Men
But I think doesnt go beyond the cool concept, doesnt have the same bite his other movies have

also for my money the answer to 'what actually happened to Alan' is that he either started or exacerbated the squabble with the other raider party, having internalised some of his old man's opinions of masculinity and what it means to be a warrior, and he Found Out. ironside got him on it.

Ce mec c’était un peu le Michael Ironside du cinéma français, second couteau rarement considéré à sa juste valeur, à chacune de ses apparitions et de ses cabotinages il m’éclatait. J’crois que son rôle qui m’avait le plus marqué c’était son flic psycho de Dobermann tellement il y va à fond.
