Busquets–Suarez–Alba–Messi is just exhibition football: All-Stars waking up periodically to show 15-year-olds how to play. There is no drama; there are no stakes. Cotton candy football (the jersey color is perfect). No wonder nobody really cares.

Now that Alba and Busquets are retiring (and we'll see what Suarez does) I wonder what cavalcade of bullshit MLS is going to roll out to put a whole new set of stars around him. Ter Stegen? Rakitic? Neymar? Di Maria? Pique as an assistant coach? The possibilities are endless.

MLS fined Inter Miami’s Sergio Busquets for his flop against the Chicago Fire on Tuesday. It’s good that the league is taking action but it would’ve done no good if Lionel Messi had scored on the free kick that was given by the ref in the 24th minute. #cf97 #VamosFire

Okay I agree w/ Det. Pikajew here but unfortunately this post seems nonsense. There are two (2) US-based soccer players making club salaries in excess of 7.2mm (60k / 0.1 x 12): Messi & Busquets. Even throwing in endorsement comp I very much doubt this is any pro soccer player at a US club.
