This absolutely happens. Of my babywearing people, a chunk turned maga and the rest of us discovered we are ND LGBTQIA+ goofballs.
We need to talk about how social media algorithms push moms down a slippery slope of distrust.

Why is there a social presumption in favour of babywearing that a) involves buckled carriers and b) involves front facing?

There’s also the actually useful parenting groups - Scraplet’s car seat, babywearing carrier and all the accompanying safety advice came from those.
The neighborhood/community groups have been a useful resource as well. Not to mention the visas+immigration group

In my twenties, I was a certified volunteer babywearing educator. Sometimes new moms would add me as a FB friend in case they needed more help. One of those moms just sent me free concert tickets to the Teskey Brothers because I am her only "friend" in Nashville and she can't make the trip.
