Three separate shootings during high school homecoming celebrations across Mississippi killed six people and injured several others, police and local officials reported.

At least 8 killed in Mississippi over high school Homecoming weekend. The state has lax gun laws. It's easy to buy a gun and carry it openly. Says one local, "It's easier to get a gun than to get a job in the Delta."
