could you cook an entire cup of rice and eat it in one sitting for 5 million dollars? the catch: you're allowed to call the fire department as many times as you want, but $10 will be subtracted from your winnings each time you do unless you dial them by accident or just want to ask them a question

The problem with the left is all the word policing
I was just told that I have to remove “climate” from the title of an ongoing grant if I want to keep it. And publications from that grant cannot include “climate” and other forbidden words. I can’t believe I’m writing this from the United States of America. #AcademicSky
Just received an email saying that it's not advisable to include the following words in future applications for research funding to the US DOT. Here we are.

MAJOR Victory in Montana!

Bill that would criminalize parents with felony child endangerment DIES in Montana after 15 Republicans cross party lines.

The bill would have criminalized even parents of trans kids driving through the state.

It died after nonbinary rep Howell delivered a strong speech.

When a person is abducted, there's a number to call to report & identify. A habeas petition challenging the abduction is electronically filed in that district, by a lawyer admitted in that district, within 30 minutes of the call. Anywhere in the country, 24 hours a day.

Nothing else is good enough.
hello! i am very curious if anybody is building a rapid response network to file habeas shell petitions for nice people before ice can take them out of state?

Notably, it seems we're going to have rotating conservative justices dissenting to give the appearance they're not that radical while these horrifying decisions go through anyways.

The Times has to issue a correction here. An Executive order can’t “require” any such thing. Calling it ‘an aggressive push to catch” fraud is bad editorial judgment. The first part is demonstrably false. Those who have any voice to the Times need to demand this. Might as well say pigs fly.
President Trump signed an executive order on Tuesday that will require proof of U.S. citizenship on election forms. The move is in an aggressive push to catch and combat voter fraud, which is exceedingly rare but constantly cited by Trump as a reason he lost the 2020 election.

Administration officials cited cracking down on immigrants illegally on voter rolls as one of the executive order’s main goals, amplifying Mr. Trump’s grievances about electoral integrity.
