1 in 10 women have experienced stalking, sexual assault or relationship abuse in the past year alone, according to the ONS. The government has set itself the mission of halving that figure in a decade. To do so, we have to make sure women’s voices are heard. (1/2)

We in Reading are proud of the many immigrant diasporas who have enriched our town’s economy and culture. Many immigrant families in Reading, such as Hong Kong BNO citizens, have asked me about the government’s future plans concerning indefinite leave to remain.

I asked George Osborne this morning why the Conservative coalition cut Sure Start centres that young families depended on. He said there was a “feeling” at the time that they weren’t cost-effective. Many families across the country would’ve “felt” differently. (1/3)
