There's a lot of self image tied up in always being right for these folks. So they twist reality, and themselves, in complex knots to explain how superior they are.

As a kiwi I find a lot of stuff really cringe, and our own current PM is master of cringe inducing behaviour... but this, this just might be the all time winner.
