As a side note to Hornby's announcements, I am very intrigued as to what the Rail200 livery will look like in 395015 (and RIP to the "full" 10th anniversary livery I assume)

Not even sure why I bother sometimes. Almost 4 years waiting for KR Models' Leader, and faced with a mess in the post today... A dodgy handrail, snapped off details, broken packaging, and a first for a OO gauge mishap, the bogies weren't aligned!

I haven't said much on here recently, but I want to wish everyone a happy new year! I've not really had the energy to do the things I've wanted to do in the past few weeks, I'm still sitting on a huge trainspotting video to edit, and been consciously having a break from simming for a proper reset...

When Hornby announced PlayTrains, there was praise for targeting the younger market in some way, getting kids into trains early
When Rapido announced Ivor the Engine, it was celebrated as being a nostalgic win despite not having a home on any layout

Remember folks, in life, don't let others ruin things for you. Time is limited in this messy world and it can't hurt to have some fun now and then. Be proud of you are, what you enjoy and what you achieve, those experiences don't need to be validated by others if they're constantly unapproving.

I do like me an anniversary, and today makes me feel old - Southeastern Highspeed officially commenced on 13th Dec 2009, and I cannot understate how much of an impact the Class 395s and the service they provide have had on my life. I've loved it ever since the first thrill of travelling at 140mph 🚄
So uhhh, I accidentally opened Vegas (it's pinned on the taskbar) and discovered that I have a video half-edited from back in May that I COMPLETELY forgot about 😅😂
If I were to finish it up, and add even more footage, who wants a SUPER long trainspotting extravaganza to close out the year? 😄

As 395028 crawls into Strood on a Ramsgate-bound service, I find myself in disbelief that 395008 ended up damaged again last night.. I still remember the day it hit a van in 2017. I hope it's able to be fully repaired in good time 😢🤞

Saw Wicked this evening, loved it! Not only is it fantastic to put such detailed visuals into my head, giving everything more context, but the FEELS, I experienced every emotion. And, I am amazed that it didn't feel too long, part of me was concerned about part 1/part 2, but it's fleshed out so well
