Ed Zitron renews my faith in Journalism every time I read
“Waugh your work is too long” give it up. The blogs get longer with every complaint. You think I won’t drop a 25,000 word one? And email it to you? You think I won’t print it out and mail it to you? You think I won’t “skibbidi” out of your damn garbage disposal and start screaming it at you?

It’s pretty bad.

At some point these videos will learn how to do long takes…

But…

Idk the amount of focus and information that changes. I’m wondering if and when.

The studio behind it says they 'hardly slept' for several weeks while writing AI prompts and refining the shots — 'AI didn't make this film. We did'

You know… it just occurred to me that Netflix also has a decent amount of debt. And though it’s cash flow positive it’s become hush in terms of subscriber growth. It’s biggest revenue.

If they ever lost their advantage. If people quit Netflix and didn’t renew… this deal looks fucking disastrous.
December 8, 2025 at 8:05 PM
Man… now you actually REALLY want Netflix to get this one.

A. That’s a bombastic hostile counter offer way over valued.

B. It’s bc it’s being sponsored by Donald Trump (via Kushners) and Saudi Arabia.

So like… fuck… man. Can’t say anything else but… fuck.

Watching 60 minutes (bc I am old) and they’re talking about children addicted to chat bots and how it gathers data by optimizing for engagement on their platforms.

Yes true.

And uhhh

You adults do know… that ALL of social media… does the same thing… right?

I used to find Austin Powers hilarious as a kid… but when I watched the original Bond movies in my 20s… I realized, that’s just James Bond movies.

There’s a ton of scattered news on it but prop betting across the board is so out of hand that most professional sports operate more or less like the WWE.

Almost all of it is staged or rigged to some degree for billions to be made. It’s never been this out of hand.

Why prop bets are ruining sports
Today’s sports gambling looks nothing like the sports betting of the past.

Yeah but Facebook makes over 50 billion in revenue… a season.

It was bad. But it coulda (and shoulda) been worse.

We keep acting like numbers such as 100-200 billion dollars means anything to companies over a trillion dollars in worth.

There’s a problem here. A giant wealth one…
Mark Zuckerberg’s gamble on the "Metaverse" has lost his company more than $77 billion.

What Kelly Thompson’s Birds of Prey always understood, and what it always expressed, was that at its core, Birds of Prey is a comic about sisterhood.

Also stating the obvious

HBO Max will cease similar to Hulu but on a faster timeline.

Most ppl don’t realize how many WB properties are already on Netflix that you’ve been watching.

Again… these companies actually care more about what ur doing on your phone while watching their movies/shows…
I’ll write analyses this week on my Substack breaking down the Netflix buyout of WB

There’s just. A LOT everyone is missing… My key points.

A. Stage was set for mergers bc Ellison/Paramount/billionaire love me daddy 💰

B. The actual death of theatre happened years ago

C. Short form is the future
