An extremist outlet that publicly advocates for fascism and genocide:
New: Hillary Clinton will be speaking at an event hosted by Israel Hayom (Israel's most read newspaper, run by Israeli-American billionaire & Trump megadonor Miriam Adelson).

She'll join John Fetterman, Eric Adams, Trump UN Ambassador Mike Waltz, Biden official Amos Hochstein, and Israeli officials

Watching Mayday! Aircraft Investigations again and cracked up at the reenactment of an NTSB investigator determining whether icing caused a crash. (Exclaiming ”28 degrees Fahrenheit…that’s cold enough for water to freeze!” as if having solved Fermat’s Last Theorem)

The TA is not a professor. I point this out because it’s relevant, there is a major legal difference. The TA is a student and is also entitled to the same privacy as the student who complained. This is a major FERPA violation, the university shouldn’t even be really commenting publicly on this
OU has put the professor here on administrative leave:

The only thing I enjoy about Trump is his undisguised contempt for his most obsequious toadies (he demands loyalty, but loses respect for those who offer it too freely), and how he throws them under the bus at the drop of a hat
Reporter: If there were a second strike that killed wounded people, would that be legal?

Trump: I don’t know that happened and Pete said he did not even know what people were talking about. I wouldn’t have wanted a second strike. The first strike was very lethal. It was fine.

Dreamed I was flying on something called “Substack Airlines:”
FIRST OFFICER: Our flight surfaces won‘t budge! I can’t control our roll, pitch, or yaw—
CAPTAIN: Did you just say “y’all?” What is this, Brooklyn’s DSA branch? Maybe you should “roll” out a better ”pitch” to working class voters instead…

“Once workers grow dependent on AI, they lose the friction that strengthens their ability to reason, problem-solve, and make decisions.”
We can't really say this enough...

> Anastasia Berg [at UCL Irvine] said that new research — and what she's hearing directly from colleagues across various industries — shows that employees who heavily rely on AI are losing core skills at a startling rate.

agree with the passage about Maine, though I feel that ME does try to propagandize you about how great and exceptional the state is (VT is the same way). For me, Connecticut was a revelation; great pizza plus a humble acceptance of its low cultural status, existing as it does in New York’s shadow

(realizing that the main contribution of Internet culture, of which I was an early adopter, has been to inure and desensitize multiple generations to ever-increasing levels of cruelty and callousness, making the phenomenon a social catastrophe tantamount to World War I) LOL

Got sucked into a rabbit hole: Saudia Flight 163. The idea of the Three Stooges flying a wide-body passenger jet is funny in the abstract, but when it happened in real life (and this is more or less what actually happened per the published CVR transcript) 300+ people died senselessly
