But relaxation is also important. It is hot. Best start sightseeing early in the morning. Relax in the early afternoon. Even the pool is best in the late afternoon. And than go out again after sundown.

Getting a Sim-card for your smartphone can be a bit bureaucratic. But I've got one now. No fear of roaming costs anymore. We'll see how it works.

Than on to the Crockodile Bank. Founded by en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romulus.... He was the guy who in Al Shaw's Science Class at KIS gave me my first hand (literally) experience with snakes. No crocodiles yet at that time. Might have been fun too on the floor of the classroom. 🤔

Spend the first day at Chennai, Temple, St. Thomas Basilica, Marina Beach, Fort St. George and lots of crowded streets to get around. After dinner a walk in the neighborhood of the hotel. Our first highlight. The real thing, and not one other foreigner around.

Let's talk internet connectivity. Don't have a mobile-card yet. Working on it. Wifi at Hotels are tricky. Unsecured and I-pad might refuse to connect. Even transferring camera photos to I-pad. And bluesky has a severe limit on videos. So these back on FB. But with delay, due to availability of wifi.

After night with little sleep - too many thoughts going through my head, we made it to the airport early. We have all the time in the world to make it through the security checks, which were quick and efficient anyhow. 😊

Checked in our bags at the airport. Had a "nice" walk (American style scenery) to the Airport Hotel. Got our lunch from REWE and will bed us down for our morning check-in tomorrow.

It's about time that we get going!
One week from now we will be on the plane to Chennai. Here last minute preperations are on the way and some fine-tuning on travel destination and accommodations especially in the later part of our trip.
